What is the Box Method?

The Box Method (or grid method) is a visual approach to multiplying polynomials. For two binomials, it uses a 2x2 grid to organize the products.

One binomial is placed along the top, and the other along the left side. Each cell in the grid displays the product of its corresponding column and row headers.

Once the cells are filled, diagonal cells containing like terms are combined to get the simplified result.
